10 Creative Tools I Use Almost Every Day
Although I love trying out new things (team never stop learning), I find myself using the same materials over and over again.
They all help me and my creativity in one way or another and as I’m often asked what I use to create, I want to share them with you.
I love learning about new creative tools, don’t you? Be sure to let me know what your favourites are. Here are mine:
pantone colour guide: not a must-have, I know, but I’ve always loved colours, learning about colours and using them. I can’t imagine not using it. And let’s be honest, looking through it is like meditation.
iPad Pro: where I create 90% of my art (right now) using the
procreate app and the
apple pencil 2nd gen
adobe illustrator (perfecting those patterns, vectorizing …) and adobe photoshop
wacom intuos pro (m, 2nd gen paper) : great for turning hand-drawn sketches into art or patterns, using Adobe Illustrator
blackwing or tombow pencils: my favourites for sketching ideas, patterns, whatever by hand
sigma micron fineliner: my go-to for line drawing
sketching notebook: I always have one with me when I leave the house (or leave the living room to stroll around the bedroom in Covid times) and it has this playful touch for me. The ideas I sketch don’t have to be turned into something real, they’re just ideas and fuel my creativity.
anything that fuels my creativity: books, creative classes (here are my favourites for procreate), walkies with the dogs, netflix… whatever it is that does it for you. Enjoy it.
