Cold January weekends are perfect for snuggling up on the couch with a nice cuppa tea (and the dogs of course, or the cat or whatever it is for you).

While you might be melting away watching Bridgerton or planning your new bedroom or kitchen thanks to the McGees and Dream Home Makeover (guilty 👋🏻), I can’t get enough of one thing: learning.

I am restless, I am deeply curious about everything and I love learning new things and exploring. As exploring is a no-go right now, what’s left is learning.

Good thing we’re living in the 21st century, so there are books, online coachings, zoom coachings, Skillshare, Creative Live, MasterClass…just to name a few. As I’m a self-taught artist, I learned a lot from these.

I know many of you already use Skillshare for learning new things (same here), it’s affordable, the community is engaged and amazing and you can do a 14-day free trial of its Premium paid membership if you like.

If you’re curious and love learning, too, this is for you! Here are my favourite Top 5 Procreate Classes on Skillshare

1 Intro to Procreate: Illustrating on the iPad by Brooke Glaser

This class is the perfect start if you’ve never used Procreate on the iPad before and/or you’re a beginner and are still not sure what you’re doing (that’s how I felt in 2019). After taking the class, working in Procreate felt more intuitive and easier. Digital illustrations are fun!

2 Digital Illustrations: Learn to Use Procreate by Jarom Vogel

This class shows you even more shortcuts and basic understanding of Procreate, so I’d recommend watching this one after Brooke Glaser’s class. I watched this class last summer and there were still shortcuts I didn’t know yet. I highly recommend watching this class if you’re new to Procreate.

3 Winter Illustrations in Procreate + 27 Brushes and Stamps by Liz Kohler Brown

While I can highly recommend every class by Liz Kohler Brown, I’m sure you’re going to love especially this one - now that it’s winter.

You’ll learn how to create three different styles of winter illustrations on your iPad using Procreate. When you watch the class, you’ll get all of the brushes and stamps Liz Kohler Brown uses for creating her winter illustrations. I loved the class projects!

4 Procreate Fundamentals: Everything You Didn’t Realize You Wanted To Know by Peggy Dean

It’s the perfect Procreate 101 everyone needs to watch. Do you think about all that Procreate can do but feel overwhelmed as to where to start or how to discover all of its tricks? Peggy Dean has got you covered.

Not only is Peggy Dean an amazing artist and teacher, I also adore her art.

Highly highly recommended.

5 Create a Repeat Pattern on the iPad Using Only Procreate by Peggy Dean

Did you know you can create a repeat pattern on your iPad? This. Is. So. Cool. And it makes life so much easier. You just need Procreate, nothing else, and you’ll learn so much about creating your patterns, texture, brushes, colour, colour palettes, layers… and so much more.

Have fun trying these out! If you aren’t using Skillshare yet, be sure to start your 14-day FREE trial now

I can’t wait to see what you’re going to create and please let me know which one you liked best.
