It’s here! Autumn is finally here. The time of the year when we can admire all the amazing colours that are painting trees and decorating the ground. Mornings are misty, crisp and fresh and it’s the perfect time to enjoy getting back to nature with a beautiful glamping break.
It’s easy to be inspired by this spectacular time of the year, isn’t it?
The vibrant colours of the trees, fallen leaves, golden morning light, colourful sunsets and maybe even the flickering light of a fire… it’s like nature is creating paintings for us.
Here are some of my favourite ways to get creative during that special time!
Pumpkin Carving
Perhaps one of the favourite activities in autumn, pumpkin carving is so much fun.
This is the season for it, the pumpkins are all ripening in veg patches and appearing in the supermarkets, so it’s easy enough to get a hand on one.
Traditionally ‘Jack-o-lanterns’ were placed on porches and doorsteps to ward of evil spirits. Make sure not to waste the innards, there are so many recipes for pies, soups and more.
Drawing
I feel like autumn is always my most creative time, as all I want to do is cuddle up on the couch with the dogs and be creative.
If you’re using your iPad for drawing just like me, I wrote a blog post about my favourite autumn brushes. Read more.

Seasonal squashes and pumpkins are a great splash of colours, as are flowers like dahlias and chrysanthemums.
How about as simple as filling a jar with pine cones and acorns, and adding a candle, or some branches.
