How to Install Lightroom Presets

What are Lightroom Presets? Presets are amazing tools to easily up-level your photography and editing skills. Lightroom presets are fantastic tools–but to get started, you’ll need some presets to work with.

Now, Lightroom does include a number of in-built presets in the Develop module. However, these aren’t especially impressive, so I’d really recommend you find (or make) your own Lightroom presets. 

My presets are easy to use and install for beginners and come with a step-by-step tutorial to guide you every step of the way.
The collection includes both desktop and mobile files so you can easily edit at home on your computer or on the go with your phone/tablet device. These presets will be easy to use wherever you go!

Volume 1 features rich colours and natural vibrance, inspired by Ireland and West Cork. My presets are super versatile and work beautifully on landscapes, travel, lifestyle, interior and more.

All of my presets are handmade from scratch and designed with YOU, the creative, in mind. I wanted to create a set of presets that are versatile on both indoor + outdoor photos and work consistently all types of photography.

How to Install

Lightroom Classic CC 7.5 & newer

1. Download the .ZIP file. Unzip the file and open Lightroom.
2. In the Develop module, open an image. Go to Presets, click the plus + button then click Import Presets.
3. Import the .XMP file desktop files. The presets will appear automatically in a new group. Restart Lightroom if needed.
4. HAVE FUN!

Mobile Presets

Method 1

(If you have a paid Creative Cloud membership, you can use Method 2!)

1. Download the ZIP file and open by double clicking (Mac) or right-click then press ‘Open/Unzip’ (PC)
2. Open the mobile preset folder. Select all DNGs > AirDrop/ Email to save in your photos. They will look like blank squares.
3. Open the Lightroom CC Mobile App or download and create a free account if you don't have one. Open the app.
4. Upload the DNGs the same way you upload photos. Hold and slide your finger to quickly select all of them. When they have finished uploading, your presets are ready!

How to Apply:

1. Open any DNG file. Click the ••• icon at the top right corner and press Create Preset.

2. Name the preset and press √.
(The settings you need will automatically be checked for you.)

Repeat until you have saved all of the presets.
3. Open the image you want to edit. On the bottom tools panel, click the Presets tab. Choose your favorite preset then click √. Feel free to adjust exposure, white

balance, etc. to better suit your image. Optional: Create an album with the presets.

This will keep it organised and easy to find in the future.

Mobile Presets

Method 2

Did you know that you can sync your Lightroom presets with your Lightroom Mobile app?

It's easy, and you can do it using the Lightroom CC desktop app. It means you can use the same presets from the desktop app in your mobile app.

Launch the Lightroom CC app so that it can automatically sync your Lightroom Presets and Profiles from Lightroom Classic.
Make certain that your Lightroom Mobile app is synced to your Creative Cloud account. You will then be able to see your Lightroom Classic Lightroom Presets in the app.
